Feng Shui - Bring Health, Wealth and Happiness Into Your Life

Feng Shui Advice from the Experts

Feng shui is a fascinating, though sometimes bewildering, practice – especially for people in the west. By now, people all over the world have heard about this ancient Chinese practice but few of us are really well versed in its study and application. Its principles may be complicated, but the best feng shui advice is actually surprisingly simple.

The principles of feng shui are, simply stated, based on a number of things – your birth and how it determines your individual KUA number, the spaces in your home, and the elements that are associated with each of these things. Basically, all of these different components and influences must be brought into balance in order for good feng shui to occur. Good feng shui within a space can greatly increase your productivity, inner peace and happiness.

However, even if you are not interested in pursuing and implementing all of the principles of feng shui, you can still follow the experts’ advice in more general ways and start benefiting from the basic principles of feng shui. One of the main principles involves the amount of things that you keep in your home, and how they are kept – a cluttered, messy or dirty environment is very bad feng shui, as it prevents energy from moving swiftly and effectively within the space. If your home is cluttered, the best advice is to clear out as many of the excess items as you can and give yourself and environment with simple, clean lines. In this way, you will be able to maximize on the energy that is always, after all, around us.

The second piece of advice, that is also easily implemented, is to keep a good balance of different natural materials around you. In this way, you can be sure to have an auspicious balance of feng shui elements, even if you are not absolutely sure what they are. For instance, you can have a plant in a terracotta pot in your living or working space, and this is particularly powerful as it represents two elements at once.
