Feng Shui - Bring Health, Wealth and Happiness Into Your Life |
Using the Feng Shui Compass to Direct EnergyDirections are very important in the practice of feng shui, and the feng shui compass is an essential tool that allows you to find, interpret and work with the different directions. This is important in mapping out the general directions of your house so that you can determine where the key areas are, and what to put in them. In addition, there are certain directions that are important to certain people, based on their year of birth, gender and KUA number. Your compass will allow you to determine which areas are important for you. The directions are also associated with certain colors and elements in the practice of feng shui. Like the bagua itself, the compass in feng shui practice has eight directions, rather than the four that are used in the compasses most of us are accustomed to. The eight directions in feng shui are as follows: North, South, East, West, Northeast, Southeast, Southwest, and Northwest. All of these are equally important; for example, in feng shui, Northwest is seen as a separate direction, not just a variation of North. When you begin to discover your personal KUA number and all of the things that are associated with it, you will find that there are certain directions which are important for you. The KUA number is a reflection of the lunar year in which you were born, and is also influenced by whether your are male or female. Once you know your KUA number, you will be able to determine, with the help of a good feng shui manual, which elements are particularly important for you when associated with certain areas of life and certain directions. Sometimes these books summarize all of these different components in a chart for easy reference. Like other aspects of feng shui, therefore, the compass directions are a function of individual as well as general planning and design. This is because the energies that affect the space also affect us personally. More Resources:- |
