Disneyland Magic Key passes will go back on sale for the second time this year on Tuesday, according to the resort’s website.

The online queue will open no earlier than 8:45 a.m. and sales are expected to begin no earlier than 9 a.m. All pass types will be available.

Disney fans hoping to purchase a Magic Key can also utilize the new “Notify Me” option in the virtual queue. In the past, fans have complained about waiting hours in virtual queues to purchase Magic Keys or tickets for specialty events at the resort.

Guests using this option will receive two separate emails. One will allow them to check their place in the virtual line, while the other will notify them when it’s their turn to purchase a Magic Key.

“From the time your turn begins, you’ll have 10 minutes to use the link to return to the site, or you’ll lose your place in line and will need to rejoin the queue,” according to the Disneyland website.

The keys give park guests access to the parks on select dates, depending on availability and pass type, along with select discounts on food, merchandise and Genie+, the park’s paid line-skipping service that replaced the FastPass program.

The resort offers four tiers of annual passes. Those tiers are:

Inspire Key

$1,649

Includes: Free standard parking, 20% off select merchandise, 15% off select food and drinks, Unlimited Disney Photo Pass digital downloads, and 20% off Disney Genie+.

Believe Key

$1,249

Includes: 50% off standard parking, 10% off select merchandise, 10% off select food and drinks, Unlimited Disney Photo Pass digital downloads, and 20% off Disney Genie+.

Enchanted Key

$849

Includes: 20% off Disney Genie+, 10% off select merchandise, 10% off select dining and 25% off standard theme park parking.

Imagine Key

$499

Includes: 25% off parking at the Toy Story Lot, 10% off select merchandise, 10% off select food and drinks and 20% off Disney Genie+.

The Inspire Key is the resort’s most expensive pass that offers the fewest blackout dates. The Believe Key has more blackout dates than the Inspire Key, and the Imagine Key pass has the most blackout dates and is only available to Southern California residents.

Current Magic Key holders can also upgrade their pass in person at Disneyland ticket booths during the Magic Key sale.

“A current Magic Key pass may be upgraded to an available higher pass type for the remainder of its pass year. The difference in purchase price between the 2 passes must be paid in full at the time of upgrade. The expiration date of the Magic Key pass will not change. Passes may be upgraded at the Disneyland Resort ticket booth only, while passes are available for sale. Please note that you might encounter a wait at the ticket booth,” according to the Disneyland website.

Disneyland launched the Magic Key program in August 2021 after retiring the popular annual passports during a yearlong shutdown of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
