A man appeared to pull a gun out and point it toward a crowd after a fight broke out at a high school in Pomona on Thursday, according to video submitted to KTLA by a parent of a student.
The video shows a frantic scene in which a man appears to brandish a firearm during a fight at Diamond Ranch High School. The school hadn’t responded to a request for comment as of 9 a.m. Friday, although it confirmed the incident in a message to parents Thursday evening.
The school told parents a car of non-students pulled up and assaulted a student when school ended on Thursday. The man who allegedly brandished the gun was not a student, the school said.
“We are working with the local authorities to provide information to help them apprehend the suspects,” the message reads in part.
The school said law enforcement officials would be on campus on Friday to ensure the safety of its students.
