Deputies are pursuing a suspect driver in Los Angeles County Friday night.

The driver is wanted for a possible DUI, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The pursuit reportedly began in the Monterey Park area before getting onto the 10 Freeway westbound.

The suspect is in a black sedan and is being pursued by multiple patrol units.

Throughout the pursuit, the suspect would slow down to make it seem like they were going to surrender but then would continue to drive away from deputies.

The pursuit made its way into an industrial area of Irwindale before the suspect made their way onto the 605 Free northbound, getting up to speeds of up to 90 miles per hour with some traffic on the road.

After a short chase on the 605 Freeway, the suspect took an off-ramp and got back onto surface streets in the Duarte area, as deputies remained close on the tail of the black sedan.

With CHP in continued pursuit, the driver was able to make their way onto an access road in Duarte and continued to evade deputies.

Sky5 is overhead.
